Ricky Woods
Ricky holds a bachelor's degree in English and Afrikaans en Nederlands from the University of the Witwatersrand and an Honours degree in Psychology from UNISA, as well as post-graduate diplomas in Education and Media Centre Science.
She has a Certificate in Copy-Editing from the University of Cape Town, and a certificate in Copy-editing and proofreading from the SA Writers’ College. She is an Associate Member of PEG (the Professional Editors’ Guild – Membership number: WOO003), of SAFREA (South African Freelancers’ Association), and of SATI (South African Translators’ Institute)
With more than 35 years' experience in teaching, editing, proofreading, writing and public speaking in English and Afrikaans, her freelance work has included article research and writing, translation, blog and website articles, and academic editing of literally hundreds of honours, master’s and doctoral theses.
